The second Murray Whelan telemovie went to air at 8:30 pm last Sunday. David Wenham's impersonation of Murray was one again a delight and almost a million viewers watched the show. With luck, they will all now rush out and buy the book. I'm still awaiting word on future telemovies. And for overseas fans of Murray - sorry, still no plans for video or DVD release. I spent Saturday at the Port Fairy Ex Libris Bookfair, where I did an 'in conversation' at the Star Hotel with Danielle Green, MP for Yan Yean. Took the scenic route home and marvelled at how green the western district looks at the moment. There's been plenty of rain, the grass is lush and the spring shearing has started - the overall effect was a picture-postcard pastoral of white sheep, green pastures and blue skies. Squatter heaven.
